Mitchell Simpson, Ph. D. - Senior Pastor
With
degrees from UNC, Duke Divinity School, and Florida
State University, the North Carolina native and pastor's son has been pastor at UBC since the summer of 1990.
He is a gifted preacher/ communicator, bringing insight
from Scripture to the pulpit each week, as well as
ministering to the wide variety of congregants who
worship at
UBC regularly.
He and Betty have three children (Andrew, Aaron and
Ellie) who are actively involved at UBC.

R. G. Huff - Minister of
Worship & Discipleship
 R. G. came to UBC in September 2002. He is a native
of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, graduate of Carson Newman
College (BA in Biblical studies) and Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary (Masters of Church Music).
A published hymn/text writer, R. G. has written
regularly for magazines and journals in church music; he
is has been very involved with the
Baptist Church
Music Conference and is
an active member of the Chorister's Guild, Hymn Society,
and American Choral Directors Association. He is also
the editor of
WorshipRx.com, a worship resources web site.
R. G. is responsible for the
Music Ministry, preaches occasionally, and is involved directly with
Bible-learning experiences for adults.
He and Carlita have two sons, a
daughter-in-law and two grandsons.

Allison James - Director of
Children's Ministries
Allison has been a member at UBC
for some time, but has just recently joined the staff to
work with our preschoolers and children.
She and Chuck have two children
(Chelsea and Alex) who are active at UBC.

Nathan Rogers - Coordinator
of University Student Ministries
A 2005 UNC music graduate, Nathan
is currently a student at Campbell University Divinity
School and serves part-time on our staff ministering
directly to our many university students.
He and Heather were married in
early 2006; she is a student at the UNC Pharmacy School.
