Ministers

With degrees from UNC, Duke Divinity School, and Florida State University, the North Carolina native and pastor's son has been pastor at UBC since the summer of 1990. He is a gifted preacher / communicator, bringing insight from Scripture to the pulpit each week, as well as ministering to the wide variety of congregants who worship at UBC regularly. He and Betty have three children (Andrew, Aaron and Ellie).

Craig became our Minister of Music in October of 2010. He has served churches in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia. Craig grew up in Carlisle Ohio and has since called the south his home, but still a big fan of Ohio State Buckeyes. His degrees are from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky and a Masters of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Robin have two children, Brent and Mary Catherine (Catie), both of whom are in college. Craig enjoys woodworking and cartooning. He loves to fish and looks for opportunities to “wet a line and wave a stick in the air” (fly fishing).

Allison has been a member of UBC since 1988. She joined our staff in 2006. Allison has lived as far north as Massachusetts, and as far south as Miami, but she has loved calling North Carolina home for well over 30 years. She is currently working on her Preschool & Children's Ministry Certificate through Campbell University Divinity School. She and her husband Chuck have two children, Chelsea and Alex, both of whom are in college. Allison loves scrapbooking, the theatre, and getting ready for the best week of the year- VBS!
