Check out some moments from this year’s VBS!

Children's Sunday school is offered from 9:45 to 10:45 for preschoolers through grade 5. Sunday school includes Bible Presentation, Wonder and Work Time (including crafts and games), Snack, and Music time. UBC's Sunday School program incorporates elements of Godly Play and Faithweaver curricula to provide students with a community-building, participation-based Sunday school experience. Requirements: preschoolers must be potty-trained to register for Sunday School.

The Sunday school classes participate in worship through the children's sermon, occasional music worship opportunities, and a Christmas and Easter pageant. Children also serve as Junior Ushers and Cross Bearers. We encourage children to worship with us beginning in elementary school because we feel the best way for children to learn how to worship is through watching the adults in their lives model it for them. Worship bags filled with quiet activities are available for children to borrow and return at the end of each service.
Children from newborns to early elementary can explore, play, snack, and rest in the nursery during the church service. Children do not need to be potty-trained to be in the nursery.
Form to register online available here.
On Wednesday nights, children aged preschool through fifth grade participate in a devotional and crafts. During devotional, students participate in activities that encourage reflection on bible messages. Crafts include items for the Church's events, including the Franklin All-Nighter, Christmas Pageant, Easter Pageant, and Vacation Bible School. On some Wednesdays, children also participate in mission projects. Requirements: Pre-school children must be potty-trained in order to participate in Wednesday night activities.

Children can participate in music at UBC in a variety of ways. On Sunday mornings, children can come to Sunday School to participate in music time to prepare for opportunities to make music during the worship service. These opportunities include occasional songs during service and also during the Christmas and Easter Pageant.
Children in our Wednesday Night Activities program will have the opportunity to volunteer with TABLE, a local non-profit food shelf. Children will also work on gifts, support items, and art displays for the annual Franklin All-Nighter walk/run fundraiser for mental health services at UNC Chapel Hill and Chapel Hill's unhoused populations. They are also encouraged to participate in the Franklin All-Nighter and the Carrboro Crop Hunger Walk with UBC.
