Sunday school is offered from 9:45-10:45. There is a nursery for babies through preschool-aged children during the Sunday morning worship service. Elementary school children (K-5th grade) worship with us in the sanctuary because we feel the best way for children to learn how to worship is through watching the adults in their lives model it for them.
In addition, children are leaders in worship, serving as Junior Ushers and Bible Helpers. They are also invited each Sunday to a Children’s Sermon with our pastor. Worship bags filled with quiet activities are available for children to borrow and return at the end of each service.
Our Wednesday night program for children includes a hands-on mission experience for children. Whether it is fundraising to buy alpacas for families in Ecuador, baking cookies for our local firefighters, making Grab-n-Go bags for the SECU Family House, making blankets for children in the hospital, or volunteering at TABLE where we bag food to help feed hundreds of children in Chapel Hill, the Club J Mission Kids participate in projects that help people in our community.
On Wednesday nights, the children learn music fundamentals. Click here for more information.
Annual events include our Father-Daughter Valentine’s Dance, Mother-Son Luau, Christmas Cookies & Cocoa fundraiser for International Justice Mission and Vacation Bible School.
