Born and raised in Durham, Jill has deep roots in the Triangle. She is a proud Tar Heel with a degree in Computer Science from UNC. She spent nearly twenty years as a software engineer, becoming known for thoughtful problem solving and an eye for catching issues early. Her work later expanded into nonprofit finance and K–5 education support, where she discovered meaningful ways to contribute to her local community.

Jill joined University Baptist Church to put her strengths to work in service. She is drawn to UBC’s mission work, especially its focus on mental health and caring for vulnerable populations. She’s grateful to work alongside a staff that leads with collaboration and care.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys life with her husband and their two boys. Much of her time is spent cheering them on at soccer matches and chess tournaments. She loves audiobooks—especially science fiction and fantasy—and the occasional creative project or game night. She spends many afternoons exploring the world of Zelda. Her favorite place to unwind is near water, relaxing in the sun while watching her kids play.
